Toys and Gift Ideas - From babies to first birthday presents

Updated: Feb 29

Love Every Subscitption - We were both very lucky to have this gifted to our children from their nan. It has been so fantsatic, the toys are excellent quality and follow the developmental stages of your child. If you are someone who is conscious of long lasting, reusable toys then this is the thing for you. Also would be excellent for anyone following Montesorri learning. Our children have loved this subscription.

My First Years - They do such amazing personalised gift sets, or if you just wanted something cute for your own little one. Would highly recommend any of their products.

Tomy Toomies Hide and Squeak Eggs - These are great for when your little ones are more interactive. They are great gifts for any baby/toddler, although the parents might be annoyed when they have to find all the egg shells!

Duplo - Always a great hit with the little ones. Easy to hold and assemble, what more do you need!

Megabloks - Same as duplo really, but it does also come in a handy bag for storage. Carla's Rose absolutley loves these.

KiddyMoon Soft Ball Pit - This has kept Gina's boys thoroughly entertained over the years. It was bought for her first born's 1st birthday, he is now 6 and it is still going strong. The soft sides mean that you are less worried about injury and the colours are muted so tend to blend in nicely at home. There are tonnes of colours to choose from too! Buy Here

Galt Toys - Pop up toy. If you are looking for an interactive, affordable toy as a present, this one is great. Carla gave all her NCT crew one for their first birthday. Gina gave Carla the idea :)

Fun Time Pop Up Farmyard Friends - What a classic. This has been going strong in our families for over 10 years now.

VTech Play and Learn Baby Activity Table - This was a great hit with Carla's kids, there is lots to do, the music isn't too annoying and you can take the legs off to store, or for pre-baby standing phase.

Halilit Baby Band Musical Instrument - You can't go wrong with a multicoloured musical instrument. These were the ones that Carla used for her little ones, but obviously there are loads out there. If you do a musical sensory class with your little one, they tend to use these there.

Fisher-Price Stacking Toy - Again another brightly coloured toy. Carlas's Austin loved this from a very early age, he was really focused on getting the shapes in and it definitely helped him learn his colours.

Fisher-Price Rock-a-Stack - A classic. Again great for hand eye coordination and colour identification. Buy Here

The Magic Toy Chop Gerry the Giraffe - This was seriously Austin's most treasured toy, he used to carry these around with him everywhere. Often wanting to sleep with them. Who knows why! Buy Here

Kidoz Signature Kids Wooden Kitchen - What kid doesn't love opening and closing doors? A little kitchen can be a great addition, but there is such a range of them out there. This is one that our granparents had at their house for the grandkids. So we know it was a hit, although quite a faff to put up. Carla has one from Asda, which they no longer sell unfotunately, but hers was less expensive and smaller, so make sure you take a look out there to find the right one for you. Buy Here
